Master Bagpipe Tuning… Without Your Bagpipes (?!?!)
Build your tuning instincts before you even strike in.

The Giant Elephant in the Tuning Room
Tuning is one of the most important skills in bagpiping...
But it’s also one of the most confusing, frustrating, and intimidating.
Most pipers say the same thing:
“I don’t have the ear for it.”
You know when your pipes aren’t in tune. ("I'm sure not sounding as good as that guy over there...")
But knowing how to fix it? That’s where things fall apart.
You've tried it all...
You’ve spent money on digital tuners.
You’ve asked other people for help. (But they can't be there when you really need them to be!)
You’ve practiced—but you're still afraid that any move you make will make the pipes sound WORSE... not better.
And every time you strike in, you worry your pipes might sound off again.
Tuning becomes a mental block.
It holds you back from ever feeling like you're a true piper. It makes practices more stressful.
It makes you wonder if you can justify continuing to do this.
And the worst part?
And the worst part of all of this: It's clearly possible to tune a bagpipe!
You've seen it. "Good"Â pipers are all doing it on a regular basis. And they're making it look easy.
Here’s the truth: every world-class piper tunes their pipes the same basic way.
Not with magic ears.
Not with expensive gadgets.
But with a repeatable, instinct-driven approach.
Where does that "instinct" come from?
I think we were ALL born with it —and I've created a tool that helps you build the instinct quickly, easily, and while having a suspicious amount of FUN while doing it.
And, you use the tool before you get the pipes out, so you don't have to also navigate the labyrinth of bagpipe mechanics at the same time you're trying to figure out tuning.
The Old Way
The way most pipers try to learn tuning looks like this:
- Fire up the pipes (which are usually not all that easy to play)
- Fiddle with drones and a "tuning method" or two until it's clear it's not working.
- Grab a digital tuner to see if that helps (It helps a little, but not a lot)
But in the long run this doesn’t work.
It doesn't work because you’re trying to learn tuning while doing everything else (blowing, squeezing, stressing).
It’s like trying to learn to juggle while hopping on a pogo stick.
It’s just too much at once.
Well...
What if you could train your tuning instinct before you even picked up your pipes?
What if there was a way to build that confidence in your ear—
on your own time, without pressure, and without needing to play?
There is.
And it’s a whole lot more fun (and effective) than you might expect...
